The annual Prescott Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon brings our community together to get active, have fun and raise funds in support of Prescott Group and Club Inclusion.
Whether you walk, roll, ride, collect pledges or cheer someone on, there is a way to be part of it.
Why we move together
At Prescott, we believe everyone should have opportunities to participate, connect with others and belong in their community.
Funds raised through the Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon help support Prescott Group and Club Inclusion in creating more opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build skills, develop friendships, explore their community and take part in experiences that matter to them.
The Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon is about more than how far we go. It is about moving together towards a community where everyone has opportunities to participate, connect and belong.
Turn your movement into support
Taking part is one way to make a difference. Collecting pledges helps your participation go even further.
Ask family, friends, neighbours and coworkers to support your Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon. Every pledge, large or small, adds to what we can accomplish together.
Not sure where to start? Keep it simple:
- Tell people what you’re doing. Let them know you are taking part in the Prescott Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon and raising funds for Prescott Group and Club Inclusion.
- Share why you’re participating. A personal reason can help people understand why their support matters.
- Start with people you know. Family, friends, neighbours, coworkers and members of groups you belong to are all great places to begin.
- Set yourself a goal. Choose a fundraising goal that feels achievable and let people know what you are working toward.
- Ask more than once. People are busy. A friendly reminder before the event can help someone who meant to support you but forgot.
- Say thank you. Let your supporters know that you appreciate them supporting what you are doing.
You do not need to raise a certain amount to make your participation worthwhile. Every pledge helps support Prescott Group and Club Inclusion — and every person who hears about the event helps grow awareness of our community.
Everyone has a way to participate
One of the things that makes the Walk, Roll & Ride-a-Thon special is that there is no single way to take part.
Walk it. Roll it. Ride it. Move in the way that works for you. Support a participant. Bring your family or friends. Cheer people on.
Even if you cannot join us at the event, you can still be part of it by building community by making a donation online to Prescott and Club Inclusion.
However you take part, you are helping build the kind of community this event celebrates — one where people can participate in ways that work for them and everyone has a place to belong.
