2026 Summer Camp Schedule
Week 1: Community Explores June 29-July 3
(No camp on Canada Day)
Get ready to explore our community with exciting daily adventures across the city! Join us as we visit the Halifax Public Library, enjoy an ice cream social at Horseshoe Park, cool off at Westmount Spray Park and accessible Playground, and hike the scenic trails of Regatta Point. Back at camp, the fun continues with community gardening, boxing with Kyle, Community Careers Day, random acts of kindness, give-back volunteering, a collaborative art mural, and our “Voices of the Community” media project. It’s a week full of connection, creativity, and community spirit!
Week 2: World Cup Camp July 6-10
Get ready for a week full of action, teamwork, and competitive fun! Campers will jump into high-energy games like Goal Ball, Heads Up, Super Fan challenges, four-corner soccer, and Super Slingshot, along with sports like handball and Tchoukball. Creative time includes designing your own Team Club Flags, sports-themed crafts, trophy making, and even a soccer ball cake baking competition. The fun continues with a walk to Flynn Park for soccer-baseball and a bus trip to the Halifax Commons for games on the fields. Cool off with water games, water fights, and a dunk tank, then wrap up the week with exciting closing ceremonies and awards!
Week 3: Medieval Games July 13-17
Step back in time for a week of action-packed medieval fun! Campers will take part in exciting games like wheelchair jousting, medieval skittles, ring-the-lance, archery, bocce, scavenger obstacle courses, and themed racing challenges. Activities also include costume making and live action role-playing (LARP) at Flynn Park and a bus trip to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic with a master of sails scavenger hunt. Cool off with water cannon jousting and dunk tank fun while staying active all week long. The adventure wraps up with a festive medieval feast, a Knights Tournament, and a special Knighting of Champions celebration!
Week 4: Aqua Action July 20-24
Get ready to splash into a week of non-stop water-filled fun! Campers will dive into active games like Active Go Fish, sink-or-swim boat races, Wipe Out–style relays, What Time Is It Blue Whale?, Octopus Tag, Tchoukball, Splash Dunk Basketball, and Surf’s Up Balance challenges. Activities include the Leaky Bucket Challenge, Fish Finders, paint night, and Wheel of Water for tons of movement and friendly competition. Enjoy group outings to Westmount Spray Park for splash pad games and a hike and swim at Albro Lake. The week is packed with aqua dance, Ocean Animal Freeze, water gun target practice, and an epic Super Soaker Showdown
Week 5: Super Active Heroes July 27-July 31
Get ready for a superhero-sized week of action and adventure! Campers will team up in Super Squads to take on high-energy activities like Super Strength workouts, obstacle courses, superhero soccer, city-saver giant slingshots, Active Accuracy challenges, and capture-the-flag games like Battle for Atlantis. The fun continues with pickleball, gym games, trip to the Dartmouth Sportsplex walking track and gym, Community Friendship Day with Glow Parties, dunk tank challenges, and exciting villain-defeating missions. Creative movement includes Super Stretch yoga and Super Flight creation challenges to build balance and flexibility. The week wraps up with team games, active trivia, and the Key to the City Awards celebration!
Week 6: Adventure Week August 4-7
(No camp on Natal Day)
Get ready for a week of outdoor fun and adventure! Campers will enjoy tenting, hiking, geocaching, frisbee golf, water games, and themed challenges like Indiana Jones. Creative and relaxing activities include crafts, board games, cards, and book club, while adventures continue with visits to Shubie Wildlife Park, hiking Regatta Point, and trail mix bar at Horseshoe Park. The week ends with a delicious outdoor BBQ Brunch Club and a classic s’mores party!
Week 7: Magic and Mystery August 10-14
Get ready for a week full of spellbinding fun and magical challenges! Campers will dive into wand making, “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” tricks, Magic Messages, mentalist games, memory and quick-change challenges, and a Wizard Lip Sync battle. Test your knowledge with Harry Potter trivia, show off skills in the talent show, and go on a “Find the Rabbit” scavenger hunt. Adventures continue with trips to the Discovery Centre and Flynn Park for magical experiments and exciting explosions!

Camp Details

- Club Halifax (2652 Joseph Howe Dr.)
- In the community!
Resources and supports:
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Quiet room available.
- Personal care available.
- Ratios are typically 1:4, if you require 1:1 support – please provide.
- Complex Needs- let us know and we will work together.
Community outings:
- Each week includes a community outing and/or guest. We do our best to confirm the plan as much as possible, however, change happens, all outings and guests are TBC.
Availability:
- Camp is suitable for those who ages 12+.
- Spots are limited, priority given to people who have regularly used Club programs throughout the past year.
Camp costs:
- $250 – Standard camp week 9:00AM – 3:00PM
- $200 – Bring your own support 9:00AM – 3:00PM
- $325 – Extended hours 8:30AM – 5:30PM
