Event details
Join us to make your own pottery!
Get creative with clay, experiment with pottery tools, and try our accessible pottery wheels in this fun, hands-on workshop series.
Pottery Club is open to beginners and participants who have taken part before. Whether you’re completely new to pottery or looking to build on skills you’ve already developed, there are lots of opportunities to explore, create, and have fun.
What you’ll do
Our pottery wheels include hand and foot pedal options and can be adapted to support different abilities.
Each workshop will give you the chance to:
- Learn basic pottery skills, such as rolling out clay and using stamps
- Try different hand-building techniques
- Experiment with pottery tools
- Practice throwing clay on our fully accessible pottery wheels
- Explore different ways to create and decorate your pieces
- Make your own pottery items, including mugs, bowls, plates, ornaments, coasters, vases, and more!
Our pottery wheels include hand and foot pedal options and can be adapted to support different abilities. Reach out to theclub@prescottgroup.ca if you have any questions.
Participants can expect to create approximately 6–10 pieces over the four workshops, and all of your finished pieces will be yours to keep!
What to expect:
Pottery is a hands-on — and sometimes messy! — art form. Participants should be comfortable touching wet clay and may get clay on their hands and arms.
Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy and consider bringing an apron or other protective clothing if you have one.
All materials needed for the workshops are included in the cost, including clay, glazes, tools, and kiln rental
